This Fashionista is looking professional however still remains unique and stylish for a sunny day of classes. She pairs black cropped trousers with a white crop top, Club Master sunglasses and leather spiked loafers. She seamlessly encompasses the perfect combination of professionalism and grunge. What attracted me to this Fashionista’s ensemble is the merging of two opposite styles to flawlessly portray a clean professional-punk look. I’m also a sucker for gold accents like the ones in her sunglasses, belt buckle and spikes. Keep reading below to find out where this Fashionista shops, what she’ll be wearing this summer and what she thinks is a major fashion faux pas.

Madi Furlong: I like menswear inspired, clean-cut, neutral colors, but always with a little bit of grunge.

CF: What’s your favorite item in your closet?
MF: My spiked Jeffery Campbell loafers that I’m actually wearing right now.
CF: What’s a major fashion faux pas in your opinion?
MF: Many. UGGs of course, leggings with shorts, most leggings period, men in fedoras, men in flip flops and that’s all I can think of right now.
CF: What will you be wearing a lot this summer?
MF: I really like my crop tops and boy shorts.
How To: If you’re feeling inspired to rock something menswear-inspired and refined with a little bit of edge, let’s start with your statement shoe. Check out these awesome studded loafers from Topshop; the silver studs give them that punk feel but the leather loafer style maintains the desired sleek look. Keeping the colors to a minimum for that look is important, so try this simple black and white striped cropped tank from Urban Outfitters paired with these black linen cropped pants from ASOS. And to finish it off, try these cool sunglasses for a silver accent to team up with with the studded loafers and your edgy, polished look will be complete.
